Rev. Reginald “Reggie” L. Bachus is a native of Kansas City, KS. He is the first-born child of Rev. Reginald E. and Detra L. Bachus, who also have a younger daughter Regina L. Bachus. Rev. Bachus was called to pastor the historic Mt. Ollie Baptist Church of Brooklyn, NY on his birthday April 2 in the year 2011. In his short time of pastorate the church has grown spiritually, programmatically, and numerically with the best yet to come! Reginald Bachus answered his call to ministry in the summer of 2003 and preached his trial sermon on August 28, 2003. His grandfather and spiritual father in the ministry, Rev. Dr. C.L. Bachus, is the Pastor of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS. Rev. Bachus was ordained at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church on May 9, 2010. Bachus’ father Rev. Reginald E. Bachus is the Pastor of the historic Friendship Baptist Church on the Westside of Chicago, IL, where Reginald currently serves as an associate minister, youth director, and community organizer. Bachus’ formal training as an associate minister and youth minister was conducted under the spiritual guidance and leadership of Dr. Michael P. Williams of Joy Baptist Tabernacle in Houston, TX.
